Future Biogas taking part in the Moonwalk

A team from Future Biogas has signed up for the 7th September Moonwalk.

Raising money and awareness

The event is one of many organised by Walk the Walk Worldwide, a charity that took its first steps (pun intended) in 1996 when 13 women power walked the New York City Marathon in their bras to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

Since that date, the charity has gone on to raise in excess of £139 million for breast and other cancers. From those initial 13 women, over half a million people have since taken part.

The Future Biogas team will be following a route of our own design through rural Lincolnshire that departs from Grange Farm Energy, heads North to Merlin Renewables and then returns back again.

In preparation for the event, we’re growing a dedicated maize field promoting the event from our start and finish point at Grange Farm Energy. We’ll post an updated photo once the crop is fully-grown!

If you’d like to sponsor the team, you can find our team page here.
